About our online shop
In our online shop, you will find the National Library of Norway’s own books and CDs, as well as postcards depicting our rich collection, tote bags and many other products. This is a summary of the most important information you need when using the online shop. For complete information, see the National Library’s general sales conditions. They are the conditions you will be asked to accept when you complete your purchase in the shopping cart. The sales conditions apply to the sale of goods from nb.no/nettbutikk to consumers.
Orders
Your order is binding once it has been recorded by us. Nevertheless, you are entitled to cancel your purchase in accordance with the Cancellation Act (Norw.: angrerettloven). You will receive an e-mail confirmation once your order has been completed.
In the event of inventory discrepancies, or if an item is sold out, your order, or parts of it, may be cancelled by us. In that case, we will inform you of this and provide information about what we can offer instead.
Prices
Delivery to Norway: All prices include VAT. The total cost of your purchase will be shown before you confirm your order and will include all of the expenses associated with the purchase.
International delivery: The price specified at checkout does not include VAT. Import VAT and additional customs charges beyond our control may be charged to the customer. The National Library of Norway is not responsible for these charges.
Payment
Our e-commerce solution allows you to pay using Vipps or a debit/credit card. The purchase price will be reserved on the card when you place your order and will be charged on the same day as we dispatch the items.
Delivery
Delivery to Norway: All purchases are delivered to your doorstep, and the standard delivery charge is NOK 49. If the value of the purchase exceeds NOK 199, delivery is free of charge. We will dispatch the items within 1-2 working days, and you will receive them within 14 days.
International delivery: We charge NOK 159 for international shipping. Import VAT and additional customs charges beyond our control may be charged to the customer. If you have questions about international deliveries, please contact salg@nb.no.
Returns and exchanges
Below you will find a summary of what to do if you wish to return or exchange an item. More information about your rights and obligations in conjunction with cancellation, refunds and exchanges can be found in our sales conditions.
Right to cancel
The Cancellation Act entitles you to cancel your purchase and get a refund. E-mail salg@nb.no within 14 days of receiving the item, providing details of what the item is. The product must be returned within 14 days of us being informed that you wish to make use of your right to cancel, preferably with the cancellation form that accompanied your order. The National Library of Norway will cover the cost of returning the product.

Right of exchange
You can exchange items that you have bought online in the National Library’s bookshop (at Henrik Ibsens gate 110, Oslo). Bring your order confirmation and the item to the shop within 3 months of receiving it. Products can be exchanged for other products, or you can get a credit note. You will not receive a refund after the expiry of the cancellation period.
Complaints If you discover that an item is defective, please e-mail salg@nb.no, indicating whether you would like a replacement or a refund. The National Library of Norway will cover the cost of returning the item.
